FORMER BULLET SPEAKS AT CONCERNED BLACK MEN SCHOLARSHIP GALA

CHESAPEAKE BEACH, MD (May 7, 1998)--Former Washington Bullet and Home Team Sports (HTS) personality Phil Chenier will be the keynote speaker atthe Concerned Black Men of Calvert County's First Annual 'Gala By the Bay' Scholarship Banquet, being held tomorrow, May 8, at the Rod-N-Reel in Chesapeake Beach starting at 7 p.m.

Chenier currently adds color commentary to HTS's coverage of the National Basketball Association's Washington Wizards, formerly known as the Bullets.

The gala is a fundraiser for CBM's scholarship fund. Tomorrow night two Calvert County high school students will be awarded their scholarships.

Entertainment will be provided by the Hardway Band and Show featuring Ms. Toni Love. Donation, which includes cocktail reception and a full buffet dinner, is $45. Tickets will be available at the door.
