SEVENTH ANNUAL CBM ‘GALA BY THE BAY’ SCHOLARSHIP BANQUETIS JUST TWO WEEKS AWAY Lieutenant Governor Steele to be special guest

CHESAPEAKE BEACH, MD (April 28, 2004) – The last chance to get tickets to one of Southern Maryland’s premier social events is drawing near.

The Concerned Black Men (CBM) of Calvert County extend an open invitation to the community to attend the Seventh Annual ‘Gala by the Bay’ Scholarship Banquet, being held Friday, May 14 at the Rod-n-Reel in Chesapeake Beach starting at 6 p.m. CBM is proud to welcome Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele as a special guest at this year’s gala.

The formal gala is a fundraiser for CBM’s scholarship fund. That night three Calvert County high school students will be awarded scholarships for use at the college or university of their choice.

Tax deductible donation, which includes cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres, a full service sit down dinner and live entertainment, is $65. Tickets are available from CBM members or by calling CBM-Calvert offices at (410) 414-5009. [Tickets will be available at the door, but in limited quantities.]
